Help Protect Animals
To the Editor:
Our names are Nick Roche and Alex Roche, we go to Head Oâ Meadow School. A few weeks ago we went with some of our friends to the Bronx Zoo. We learned that tigers are getting killed for their skin and other animals in the rain forest are dying from people cutting down trees. We feel like the animals should have a home and not be killed. We feel mad at the people who kill them and sad that they are just killed for their skin. Every second two acres of rain forest falls.
The Wildlife Conservation Society is trying to protect the animals so they wonât get killed in the wild. We want to raise $1,000 for the WCS. We want to save tigers, all endangered birds, some birds are already extinct, and the rain forest. We are going to donate $50 of our own money. We had a bake sale this past weekend and raised close to three hundred dollars!
We want to thank Jeff from Dunkinâ Donuts who let us set up inside on this rainy Saturday. We also want to thank Bob from Big Y who gave us a gift card so we could buy ingredients to bake with. We would also like to thank our friends and families who baked for us and came to buy cookies!
We plan on having more bake sales and a lemonade stand in the summer to help raise money. If other people want to donate please send money to Nick and Alex Roche, 20 Valley View Road, Newtown CT 06470. Checks should be made out to WCS.
