Ginny Chion Joins Newtown Office Of Prudential Connecticut Realty

Ginny Chion has joined the Newtown office of Prudential Connecticut Realty as a sales executive. The announcement was made by Virginia McKinney, leader of the Newtown office.

In making the announcement, Ms McKinney said, “Ginny has a unique knowledge and understanding of the community. Her clients will benefit tremendously from her abilities, her energy, and her genuine appreciation of Newtown. We are delighted to have her as a member of our team.”

Mrs Chion has lived in Newtown for 34 years, where she has raised two children. She was a teacher at Middle Gate School for eight years, as well as working as a substitute in Sandy Hook School for tenyears. She also has had sales experience working for United Way, Mary Kay Cosmetics, and Longaberger Baskets.

An active participant in the community, Mrs Chion has served on the board of directors of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Northern Fairfield County for three years. Additionally, she created and spearheaded “Coins for the Cure to Wipe out Leukemia,” a fundraising campaign in memory of her son, Greg, who died from leukemia in October 2000 at the age of 17. She has also served as a Junior Girl Scout leader, has held positions in the PTA, and is a member of St Rose of Lima Church, where she serves on the social concerns committee.

In joining Prudential Connecticut Realty, Mrs Chion said, “My family has lived in Newtown over 30 years. As any of the newer people in Newtown will soon know, ‘It’s nicer in Newtown!”’
