Two Chevrolets
Police report a motor vehicle accident involving two Chevrolets at the intersection of Brushy Hill Road and Platts Hill Road about 7:43 am March 30.
The collision involved motorist Carolyn Filler, 16, of Hundred Acres Road, who was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier, and motorist Michele Robinson, 43, of Split Rock Road, who was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban, according to police.
There were no injuries. Police said they issued a written warning to Filler for failure to grant the right of way at a stop sign.
High School Drugs
According to police, Newtown High School administrators searched a 15-year-old male student at the school and found him to possess a bag of marijuana at about 8:35 am March 31.
Police arrested the boy on a charge of possession of marijuana. After processing his arrest , police released the boy into his parentsâ custody. The boy is slated to appear in Danbury Juvenile Court on April 10. Under state law, police conceal the identities of those arrested who are under age 18.

DUI Case
On the afternoon of March 31, police served a warrant at a Bridgeport courthouse, arresting Donald Nickerson, 55, of Bridgeport on multiple charges stemming from a 1998 incident in Newtown.
Police said they charged Nickerson with second degree failure to appear in court, driving under the influence, driving without a license, and failure to drive to the right.
After processing the arrest, police released Nickerson on $1,500 bail for an April 4 appearance at Danbury Superior Court.
Mile Hill Road South
Motorist Vernell Willoughby, 41, of Hamden, who was driving a 2005 Chevrolet station wagon southward on Mile Hill Road South on March 27, failed to negotiate a curve in the road, entered the northbound lane and then struck a curb and utility pole, police said.
Willoughby was transported by ambulance volunteers to Danbury Hospital for observation, police said. Willoughby received a verbal warning for failure to drive to the right on a curve, police said.

Porsche MVA
About 1:42 am March 31, motorist Paul Brautigam, 49, of Charter Ridge Road, who was driving a 2002 Porsche convertible, was traveling eastward on Route 34, after which he turned left onto Bennetts Bridge Road, police said.
But the auto turned too widely and went off the right side of the road, smashing into a utility pole, police said. The pole was cracked in half by the impact. Brautigam was not injured. Police gave Brautigam a written warning for making a restricted turn.
Church Hill Collision
Police report a two-vehicle accident on Church Hill Road about 4:37 pm March 27, involving motorist Geoffrey Oliver, 35, of Bethel, who was driving a 2000 Chevrolet truck, and motorist Melinda Mackenzie, 47, of Butterfield Road, who was driving a 2000 Dodge van.
There were no injuries. Oliver received a written warning for a right-of-way violation, according to police.
DUI Charge
Police said motorist Susan Fellin, 44, of 10 Appleblossom Lane, who was driving westward on Church Hill Road about 12:40 am April 2, made a left turn to enter Queen Street, but drove onto a grass traffic median and knocked over a portable sign.
 Police said they stopped Fellin to investigate, after which they performed field sobriety tests and charged her with driving under the influence and with making a restricted turn.
After processing the case, police released Fellin on $50 bail for an April 18 court appearance.
DUI Case
At about 7 pm April 3, police received a report of a red sport-utility vehicle traveling westward on Mt Pleasant Road that was striking objects alongside the road, including a mailbox at 79 Mt Pleasant Road.
After a search, police found a 1994 red GMC S-1500 SUV with front-end damage located at the Hawleyville commuter parking lot on Hawleyville Road driven by motorist Albert Paolozzi, 58, of Fairfield, police said.
Following an investigation, police charged Paolozzi with driving under the influence, evading responsibility, and failure to drive to the right.
After he posted $200 bail, police released Paolozzi for an April 25 court appearance.
DUI Accident
About 7:30 pm April 3, motorist Segundo Pomavilla, 47, of Danbury, who was driving a 1995 Ford Ranger pickup truck northward on South Main Street, near Simm Lane, crossed over into the southbound lane, went off the southbound road shoulder, and struck a group of trees
After investigating, police charged Pomavilla with driving under the influence and with making a restricted turn.
After he posted $60 bail, police released Pomavilla for an April 18 court appearance.
Toddy Hill
About 5:24 am April 3, motorist Cynthia Birkmaier, 48, of Oxford was driving a 2000 Chevrolet truck southward on Toddy Hill Road, when a deer entered the road and ran into the vehicle, after which the deer ran off, police said.
Birkmaier was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
Washington Avenue
 Motorist Justine Cardillo, 17, of Tanglewood Lane was driving a 1996 Audi sedan eastward on Washington Avenue about 7:40 am April 2, when the vehicle went off the right road shoulder and struck a mailbox and bush at 8 Washington Avenue, and then hit a utility pole, police said.
 Ambulance volunteers checked Cardillo at the scene for a pain complaint, police said. Police issued her an infraction ticket for making a restricted turn.
Main Street Collision
Police report a collision involving two Toyotas on Main Street at its intersection with Church Hill Road at about 5 pm April 3.
Northbound motorist Claire Yacashin, 51, of Hanover Road, who was driving a 2001 Toyota, slowed for traffic conditions and was struck from behind by northbound motorist Dianne Wolcott, 59, of Bridgewater, who was driving a 2003 Toyota, police said.
There were no injuries. Police issued Wolcott a written warning for following too closely.
Drug Charges
Police said that at about 12:45 am on April 5, they stopped motorist Kenneth Tremblay 46, of 72 Engleside Terrace on South Main Street because Tremblay was driving a vehicle with a defective muffler. Police said they smelled the odor of marijuana in Tremblayâs vehicle, so they investigated. A search turned up marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said.
Police charged Tremblay with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and with driving a vehicle with a defective muffler.
Police released Tremblay on a written promise to appear April 20 in Danbury Superior Court.
Middle School Drug
Newtown Middle School officials received information that a student there was in illegal possession of a drug about 1:30 pm March 29, police said.
Police said one seventh-grade boy brought one capsule of his unspecified medical prescription to school and gave it to another seventh-grade boy.
Police charged the boy who brought the drug to school with illegal distribution of a narcotic. Police charged the boy who received the drug with illegal possession of a narcotic.
Both boys were released for upcoming appearances in Danbury Juvenile Court. State law conceals the identities of people under 18 who are charged with crimes.
Oil Slick
About noon on April 4, while attempting to make a turn onto southbound South Main Street from Sand Hill Plaza, motorist Graham Angelo, 44, of Easton, who was driving a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee, slid on an oily road surface and struck a metal guardrail, police said. Angelo was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
