Jodi, left, is a four-and-a-half year old American Pitbull Terrier mix. She has beautiful brindle coat, and weighs 58 pounds. She walks peacefully on a leash and is extremely obedient and eager to please her humans. She is up to date with all her veterinary work (spayed, rabies and distemper vaccines, negative for heartworm and Lyme) and would like a home where she is the only pet and has a fenced yard. Briar, right, is a 92 pound brown Shepherd-Golden mix about two or three years old. He is neutered, negative for Heartworm, and has had a rabies and a distemper vaccine. Briar is a very strong dog, but very happy go lucky and eager to please. He loves tennis balls, and prefers the company of people over that of other dogs, but he’s not overly aggressive towards them either. If you can provide a forever home, call Newtown Animal Control at 426-6900 between 9 am and 4 pm Monday through Saturday or call Canine Advocates at 426-5327 until 8 pm if you are unable to reach the pound or it is after hours.
