FrogWatch USA is a national community science project focused on inspiring conservation through education. The annual event will return to Newtown — by way of the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary in partnership with the Peabody-Beardsley-Maritime FrogWatch Chapter — on Wednesday, April 12.

From 7:15 until 8:30 pm that night, ages 10 and up are invited to join CVHAS volunteers and experts from FrogWatch USA to monitor, listen to and identify native frogs who call Newtown home.

The local event will take place at Dickinson Park. Registration is required, and those participating should meet in the lot off Deep Brook Road (west of the skate park, off Brushy Hill Road).

All guests should wear appropriate attire include mudproof/waterproof hiking boots, and provide their own head lamp or flashlight. Children must be accompanied by adult/guardian.

To register and for additional information visit cvhfoundation.org/events.
