Prostate, Breastfeeding Programs

In Trumbull

TRUMBULL —Bridgeport Hospital urologist Nicholas Viner, MD, will discuss the latest information about prostate-specific antigen (PSA) testing for prostate cancer during the next meeting of Man to Man, the hospital’s prostate cancer support group, Tuesday, April 17, 6 to 8 pm, at Spring Meadows, 6949 Main Street.

The meeting is free and open to the public, and light dinner will be served, but reservations are required.

In other news, Bridgeport Hospital has launched a new free breastfeeding support group for new and expectant mothers. The group will meet on the first and third Wednesday of the month, including April 18, May 2 and May 16, at 5520 Park Avenue, just off Merritt Parkway Exit 47.

The focus of the meetings is on mother-to-mother support. Mothers can attend as many meetings as they wish, and they are welcome to bring their babies.

The first ten mothers to register for the group will receive a free copy of the book Breastfeeding Made Simple: Seven Natural Laws for Nursing Mothers when they arrive.

For information or to register for either group, call toll free 888-357-2396.
