Business Council To Host âExtraordinary Womenâ Panel
DANBURY â The Womenâs Business Council of the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce has selected four women for its Second Annual âConversations with Extraordinary Women,â scheduled for 5:30 pm Thursday, April 26, at the Matrix Conference and Banquet Center, 39 Old Ridgebury Road.
According to JoAnn Cueva, coordinator of the Womenâs Business Council, each of the four women has made significant and lasting contributions in her respective industry and has been recognized locally, nationally, and internationally for their impact and influential roles.
The panelists include Marian Salzman, CEO of Euro RSCG Worldwide PR, North America, and one of the top five trendspotters in the world, who digs deep to look for social patterns then applies everything to where the future is headed in cultural, political, technological, and economic matters;
Fran Pastore, CEO and founder of the Womenâs Business Development Council, which helps women start and expand small businesses, become taxpayers, and create jobs in communities throughout Connecticut;
Donna Palomba the founder of Jane Doe No More, Inc, an organization born out of her experience as a victim of sexual assault, which raises societyâs awareness about the crime of sexual assault and has created enhanced training tools that will improve the effectiveness of first responders; and
Janet Peckinpaugh, a familiar face to many, having been the news anchor at WTNH-TV in New Haven and all three network affiliates for more than 20 years. During her lengthy television career, she covered both local and national major events, and has interviewed four sitting US Presidents.
âThe greatest gift we can share with one another is the knowledge we have gained over the course of our careers and the insights we have learned from our successes and failures,â Ms Cueva said.
The free panel discussion will be followed by a cocktail reception.
