WestConn To Host ‘Passport Day’

DANBURY — The public will have the opportunity to apply for a US passport when Western Connecticut State University hosts “Passport Day” from 10 am to 3 pm, Tuesday, April 10. The event, conducted in cooperation with the US Postal Service, will be in the Westside Campus Center on the university’s westside campus, off Lake Avenue Extension.

Individuals who wish to submit a passport application should bring evidence of US citizenship, a photo ID, an original (raised seal) birth certificate and two passport photos.

Application fees are $67 plus a $30 execution fee for persons age 16 and older, and $52 plus a $30 execution fee for persons under 16. Optional fees are $15 for passport photos taken on site, and $60 for expedited service and delivery.

Payment will be accepted in cash or by check; credit cards will not be accepted.

Passport application forms may be downloaded online at USPS.com/passport. For more information, call the WestConn Office of University Relations at 837-8486.
