‘Rx For Fashion’ Benefits

Neonatal Intensive Care

DANBURY — The Associate Board of Directors of the Danbury Hospital Development Fund will explore the season’s latest fashions on April 12, when Kevin J. Mitchell, MD, and his wife Laura K. Mitchell, RNC, join 22 other hospital-affiliated “supermodels” hitting the runway in support of the Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). “Rx for Fashion” sponsored by Merrill Lynch with Adam Broderick Salon & Spa as the beauty and wellness sponsor, will be held at 6:30 pm Thursday, April 12, at the Portuguese Cultural Center, 65 Sand Pit Road, Danbury.

Admission is $125 per person.

Additional sponsors include 98Q, Bernard’s, Portuguese Cultural Center, The Rizzo Group, LLC, and WTNH NewsChannel 8 and MyTV9. The event will feature fashions by Lord & Taylor and dinner by Bernard’s.

Wardrobe will include elegant eveningwear, professional panache, everyday allure, and sophisticate sportswear worn by members of hospital leadership, clinical operations, and members of the Associate Board of the Development Fund.

Proceeds from this event will support the creation of Caroline’s Room in the Danbury Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Caroline’s Room is the inspiration of two parents whose daughter lost her battle to live after two months in neonatal intensive care.

The seventh Caroline’s Room in the country, the Danbury Hospital room will be professionally designed to create a sense of comfort and home for families who are in the midst of crisis and struggle. Caroline’s Room will be a place where parents can meet in privacy with their child’s caregivers or spend time with their child.

For invitations and information, call the Danbury Hospital Development Fund at 797-7227 or visit www.danburyhospital.org.
