Richard Herman Keeton

Richard “Dick” H. Keeton, 91, husband of the late Helen D. (Mosko) Keeton, died April 2 in Danbury Health Care Center. He was born July 1, 1915, in Bridgeport, a son of Richard Charles Keeton and Katherine (Liebscher) Keeton.

Mr Keeton is survived by two daughters, Barbara Sherman and her husband, Paul, of Newtown and Darlene Aims and her husband, Edward, of Wilmington, N.C.; four grandchildren, Gerald Sherman of Royalston, Mass., Jodi Sherman of Phoenix, Ariz., Stacy Morig of Arlington, Va., and David Aims of Alexandria, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Justin and Nathan; and several nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Russell B. Keeton.

Mr Keeton was raised in Trumbull, where he was a resident for 86 years. He was a graduate of Bridgeport Central High School and served in the US Army in Italy during World War II. He worked for City Trust Bank before joining the family electrical contracting business. He rejoined City Trust Bank, and retired from there in 1980.

Mr Keeton was a member of the Masonic Washington Lodge and the Pyramid Shrine. He was an avid golfer and gardener.

A memorial service will be held at the Long Hill United Methodist Church on Monday, April 9, at 11:30 am. Interment will immediately follow in Long Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital For Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield MA 01114.

Arrangements are in care of the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
