“It’s like A Chorus Line meets Night in the Museum,” said Winston Clark, CGMC’s music director and lyricist for the show. “All these strange little products from places around the globe have congregated in this one odd place. For one night they get to tell their stories.

“Our audience will meet Fabulous, Awesome and Bang, a jovial trio of cleaners. Luncheon Loaf and Treet thrill to discover they both contain sodium tripolyphosphate. And then there’s dollar Amber, the doll who will never be Barbie,” Mr Clark continued.

During the first act of the evening, the men of CGMC will take a look at contemporary love, lust and romance in a revue of songs entitled “Hot Flashes!”

The Dazzling Dollar Store Divas will be performed on Saturday, April 21, at 8 pm, at The Ridgefield Playhouse; Sunday, April 29, at 4 pm, at Norwalk Concert Hall; Saturday, May 12, at 8 pm, at the Belding Theater in The Bushnell, Hartford; and Saturday, May 19, at 8 pm, at the Shubert Theater, New Haven.

Tickets, at $30 and $35 (in Ridgefield, $30 and $25), can be reserved by calling the CGMC box office at 800-644-2462 or online at CTgmc.org.
