Zachary Lyon, a sophomore majoring in economics and finance, has been named to the Presidentâs List for the fall semester at Bentley College, Waltham, Mass.
Kimberly Solheim has been invited to participate in the Christopher Newport Universityâs Prestigious Scholarships and Fellowships Program. This mentoring program prepares gifted students to compete for scholarships and fellowships such as the Truman, Rhodes, Rotary, and Fulbright. Kimberly will attend a seminar at Oxford University in England this summer. Kimberly is a member of the Honors and Presidentâs Leadership Program, a varsity member of womenâs lacrosse, Student Government Secretary of the Freshmen Class and member of Phi Mu. She is a 2006 graduate of NHS and the daughter of Janis and Peter Solheim of Sandy Hook.
Marist College, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., announces the following students have been named to the Deanâs List for the fall semester: Courtney DiBeneditto, Nicole Krause, Megan LaFlamme, Timothy McMullan, and Lisa Morgan.
Michael Lengel, a seventh grader at Newtown Middle School, has been named to Whoâs Who Among Outstanding Middle School Students. Michael maintains an A average, is a Pop Warner All-American Scholar, a member of People to People Ambassador Program, and a member of the Youth Leadership Program. He enjoys baseball, basketball, football, and show skiing, as well as reading and video games.
