Mary Rose Boyko, 86, of Shelton died April 3 in Griffin Hospital in Derby. She was born in Sandy Hook, May 3, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Lockwood) and  Patrick Sweeney. She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph Boyko.

Mrs Boyko and was a resident of Ansonia and Shelton for most of her life.

She was employed for many years at the former Bradley’s in Shelton and the former Evening Sentinel in Ansonia, and the former A&P in Shelton. She was also a member of the Shelton Senior Citizen Center.

She was the beloved mother of Joseph Boyko, married to Judy, and Eileen Jagodnik, married to John. Five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive Mrs Boyko.

Friends may greet her family, Monday, April 7, from 10 to 11 am, in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. A funeral service will take place at 11 am, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mount St Peter Cemetery, Derby.
