Zoo’s Summer Camp

Will Be A Wild Experience For Kids

BRIDGEPORT — For children who like animals, nature and the environment, Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo’s Zoo Patrol summer camp may be the answer for how they should spend their summer.

Zoo Patrol will run July 7 through August 22, weekdays from 9 am to 12:30 pm. Session I weeks are for children ages 7- 11, Session II weeks are for youth ages 12-15, and Session III weeks are for children ages 10-12.

In these programs, children may participate in talks and activities with zoo staff, animal-related games, arts and crafts, preparation of an animal’s meal or an animal enrichment item (such as a food-filled treat), a nature walk, lab activities, or a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the zoo.

Session I programs will be held July 7-11 and 14-18, and August 11-15 and 20-24.

Session II programs will be held July 12-25 and August 4-8.

The session III program will be held July 28 to August 1.

The cost of each weekly session is $130 for Connecticut Zoological Society members and $155 for non-members. Call 203-394-6563 for more information and to register.
