Through a cacophony of games last week in Girls Senior League Basketball, Erica Carino put together the most dominating performance by canning 25 points to lead the Boomshakalakas to a 62-27 win over Murder, Inc.

But there was so much activity and so many highlights, it would be best to start at the beginning –

Erin Saunders dropped in 11 points as Murder, Inc. defeated the Dynasties, 39-33. Allison Frobey, Caitlyn Lynch and Megan LaFlamme played well for Murder, Inc. Diana Grimaldi canned 10 points to lead the Dynasties as Becca Narel and Kim Vinci played well.

Katie Kilroy popped in 12 points and Monica Cluff added eight points and 10 rebounds to lead the Hot Shots to a 29-23 win over the Boomshakalakas. Kari Frawley dished off 10 assists to help spark the offense. For the ‘Shakalakas, Carino had 11 points while Kelly Collier, Steph Prorock, Liz Krohn and Meg Rawson all played well.

Grimaldi scored 12 points and Christine Manfredonia made 10 steals to lead the Dynasties to a 41-34 win over the Nailbreakers. Caitlin Hensen also played well for the Dynasties. For the ‘Breakers, Kristen McGrath scored 18 points, Alex Helfer had 12 assists, and Lindsay Weber had 10 rebounds. Rachel Eastman and Katie DiSimone played well.

Manfredonia and Grimaldi scored 14 points apiece to lead the Dynasties to a 40-25 win over the Nailbreakers. Sophie Cerreta and Ashley Cronin also had fine performances. For the ‘Breakers, Eastman and Caitlin Weber combined for 14 points while Lindsay Weber, Helfer and DiSimone played well.

Kilroy and Frawley canned 16 points apiece as the Hot Shots crushed the Nailbreakers, 50-20. Cluff dished off 10 assists, Kyle Paynter made eight steals, and Jenna Zigman dragged down 10 rebounds to lead the Shots. For the ‘Breakers, Eastman canned 11 points and Helfer chipped in with five. Lindsay and Caitlin Weber both played well, as did DiSimone.

Carino poured in 25 points while Kate Fenton and Collier added 11 apiece to lead the Boomshalakalaks to a 62-27 win over Murder, Inc. Sarah Holroyd, Rawson and Collier (who also had 10 rebounds) had spectacular games. For Murder, Inc., Saunders popped in 16 points while Brianna Bowen had 10 assists, Diana Bowen had 10 steals, and Frobey had three rebounds.

Holroy canned 12 points, Carino added 10 and Collier chipped in with seven more to lead the Boomshakalakas to a 45-36 win over the Hot Shots – which led the captains to exclaim, “We are the Beast of the East! We put the Range in the Rover!” For the Hot Shots, Kilroy, Frawley and Cluff combined for 22 points. Paynter also played well.

Dana Martenson popped in 15 points to lead the Flip Mode Squad to a 46-26 win over the Nailbreakers. Jess Budnick made eight steals. For the ‘Breakers, McGrath and Caitlin Weber combined for 13 points while Lindsay Weber dished off 10 assists. DiSimone and Jackie Ercole played well.
