The WTSDA holds its Masterâs Clinic every year for the purpose of enhancing its unique brand of Korean martial art and keeping it vital. The clinic is also used to keep the quality of the instruction at a high level worldwide and to maintain high standards of tradition. Also, all candidates wishing to reach the coveted title of master rank must test at this clinic before a panel of senior ranking judged.
The majority of time at the clinic is spent training in a variety of different martial art aspects â sich as Advanced Korean Healing Exercise (or âKi Gongâ), Masterâs Hyungs, Knife Defense, Grappling, Group Sparring, Tai Chi, and Push Hands, Hapkido, Absolute Gun Defense and Judges Certification.
Tang Soo Do is a traditional martial art more than 2,000 years old.
Grandmaster Shin began teaching Tang Soo Do in the United States in 1968 and in 1982 chartered the WTSDA. Presently, there are more than 120,000 members (more than 15,000 black belts) in 32 countries.
