The Newtown Babe Ruth Youth Softball League will be sponsoring several events within the next few weeks that will allow all girls registered to prepare for the opening of an exciting new season.

 

SATURDAY, APRIL 7

 

A clinic will be held on Saturday, April 7, at the Newtown High School main gym for U10 (12 noon to 1:30 pm), U12 and U14 (2 to 4 pm) players. Focus will be on skill development with stations for hitting, infielding, outfielding and sliding. Bring your glove.

TUESDAY, APRIL_10

 

A mandatory parent/player meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 10, in the Newtown Middle School auditorium. Student and U10 teams will meet from 7 to 8 pm while U12 and U14 teams will meet from 8 to 9 pm. Find out about the new league, meet your coaches and teammates, and receive your full uniform.

SATURDAY, APRIL_28

 

The 2001 season will open on Saturday, April 28, at Treadwell Park. Share in the festivities as all teams meet at the park, play a first game, and usher in the new season.
