Lillian A. Goebel

Lillian A. Goebel, 84, of Rutland Town, Vt., died April 1 at Eden Park Nursing Home. She was born November 6, 1915, in New York City, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Schiebelhuth) Koteiwo.

She is survived by a son, Fred J. Goebel, Jr, and his wife, Mary, of Newtown.

Mrs Goebel was a member of Good Shepherd Church, and active in the Altar Guild, and the Women’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.

Survivors also include her husband, Fred J. Goebel, Sr, of Rutland Town, Vt.; a daughter, Irene Goebel of West Rutland, Vt; another son, Richard W. Goebel of Los Angeles, Calif.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held April 4 in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, with the Rev William Howard, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
