Questions For Representative And Senator

To the Editor:

I have a few questions for our elected representatives in the Connecticut General Assembly, Representative Mitch Bolinsky and Senator Tony Hwang:

Where do you stand on the actions of the leaders of the Republican Party — your party — in Washington, DC? Do you support the current president of the United States in extralegal deportations and ICE raids? In cutting jobs and services in the social safety net. Do you support government by executive orders and by unelected persons such as Elon Musk?

Because it matters, what you’re for and what you’re against. You took an oath to protect the Constitution when you accepted the jobs you have. Are you doing that, and how? I’ve heard nothing about your positions within your own party, vis a vis the leadership of the party under whose banner you took office.

Unless you say otherwise, I think voters have to assume you stand with your party and are OK with what your leaders are doing. You own it.
