Volunteer Center Opportunities Available
DANBURY â The Volunteer Center is a leader in strengthening the community by connecting people to volunteer service.
Following are some of the current volunteer opportunities the center has available. Call 797-1154 or visit VolunteerDanbury.org for more information or to donate your time. Additional opportunities are also available.
*Womenâs Center Spring Training for both Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Hotline volunteers will begin in April and run for eight weeks. Forty hours of training is required for all potential volunteers who can then staff a hotline from home, run support groups, assist with counseling, and/or work in the shelter.
Minimum age is 18 and bilingual volunteers are encouraged to apply.
*National Volunteer Week Recognition Event will take place on Sunday, April 19, at 1 pm, at the Danbury Fair Mall. Community volunteers are invited to stand âShoulder to Shoulderâ in support of community engagement.
*An Intuitive and Healing Event on Saturday, April 25, in Bethel needs volunteers to assist with the planning, promotion, and day of activities.
This event offers healing and support to individuals.
*Front desk receptionists are needed to volunteer weekly at an emergency services agency in Danbury.
Volunteers must be comfortable on the phone, have legible handwriting and be able to handle multiple tasks. Volunteers are needed for four-hour shifts.
