TUV Rheinland Of North America

IntroducesInteractive TUVdotCom

TUV Rheinland of North America Inc., a leader in international testing and certification, this week announces its new Internet-based, interactive TUVdotCOM Service. This customer-focused service will provide importers, resellers, government bodies, and consumers free access to comprehensive certification information available on TÜV Rheinland Web site, www.tuv.com. By accessing www.tuv.com, visitors from around the globe will be able to verify product certifications and other pertinent information, including all certification updates.

Visitors who enter the ID number via www.tuv.com will see a single, comprehensive list of current certificates and other regulatory information specific to that product, ending the confusion that occurs when customers see a jumble of certification marks on the back of a product.

The new service utilizes a TUVdotCOM mark, which assigns a specific identification number per approved product or service.

“This TUVdotCOM Service adds a new dimension to our partnership with suppliers,” remarks Stephan Schmitt, President and CEO of TUV Rheinland of North America, Inc. “Together, we can now present one image of reliability to their customers – an image backed by searchability and traceability of certification data, using the latest Internet technology.”

Current or past customers of TÜV Rheinland, or anyone who would like to integrate their current certificates under this new service (at no charge until January 1, 2002) can contact their local TÜV representative, or log onto www.tuv.com. TÜV is located on Commerce Rd,  Newtown.
