Fishing Derby

 

The Newtown Fish & Game Club and the Newtown Parks and Recreation Department will hold its annual Fishing Derby on Saturday, April 14, for all young anglers up to the age of 12, at the Dickinson Park pool on Brushy Hill Road. The pool will be well stocked with trout – including some trophy fish. Registration opens at 7 am and the tournament will run from 8 am to 12 noon. The event is free and prizes will be awarded for each age group. Members of the Fish & Game Club will be on hand all morning to aid youngsters and serve refreshments.
