Todd Robert Stampp, age 48, born on June 25, 1976, passed away unexpectedly on March 30 at his home in Sandy Hook.

He was the youngest son of Bob and Bonnie Stampp of Sandy Hook. He had a brother, Tim, who previously deceased Todd in 2020; and has a brother, Scott Stampp of Watertown.

Todd also leaves behind his two daughters, Madison Ruth Stampp and Kiley Marie Stampp, both from Newtown. He also leaves behind his partner of seven years, Dana, and her mother Joanne, also of Sandy Hook, and his former wife Kiera Stampp, of Newtown.

Todd worked in the mortgage industry and had an extraordinary career for thirty years. His wonderful personality and skill working with numbers helped many people get mortgages.

Todd never knew a stranger. His friends were innumerable. He was always in contact with high school and college friends, and hundreds of others who called him a friend. Being a friend of Todd made you his friend for life. He had a smile that melted your heart. He would do anything for anyone, and his outgoing personality made him one of the most likable people on the planet.

Todd was a wrestler and lacrosse player at Newtown High School, and enjoyed playing golf and fishing. He studied at the University of New Orleans and Southern Connecticut State University.

As Todd’s parents, our hearts are breaking for those he left behind. We feel blessed and thankful for having raised a very special human being. We know someday we will see him again, which gives us a deep sense of peace.

There will be a viewing at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main Street North in Southbury, on Saturday, April 5, from 1 until 4 pm.

In lieu of flowers we would appreciate donations to Companion Pet Rescue in Southbury (cprdogs.com).
