Mini-Expo At BPW Meeting April 5

The Business and Professional Women’s Club of Newtown will celebrate women-owned businesses at the Monday, April 5, meeting at the Fireside Inn.

Vendors, including Newtown Curtains, Weekenders Fashions, JMM Events, The Country Patissere (with samples), a musician, and an invitation company, plus others, will be on hand to display information about their companies. As part of the evening’s event there will be a question and answer time during which each vendor will participate. The program will provide an opportunity for persons who are thinking their own businesses to ask questions and learn from other entrepreneurs.

There are still openings for more vendors.

The meeting will begin with registration at 6 pm. Dinner is at 6:30 pm. Entrée choices are Chicken Kiev, Veal Florentine, and baked stuffed filet of sole. Reservations for the meeting are requested by Friday, April 2, by calling Laura Mayer at 426-8669. Indicate a choice of entrée. The cost for the dinner is $25.

Owners of women-owned businesses who are interested in having a table at the expo should call Jeanne Malota at 426-00162 or Laura Mayer at 426-8669 for more information.

The Newtown Business and Professional Women’s Club is a nonprofit organization that promotes the interests of business and professional women, providing them with an opportunity for networking. The club sponsors scholarships to help women who are changing or advancing their careers.
