Health & Wellness Expo At NVCC
WATERBURY â Naugatuck Valley Community Collegeâs Office of Health Education and Disability Services will present a Health and Wellness Expo on Thursday, April 15, from 10 am to 2 pm, in Café West. Admission is free.
Exhibits will include lung capacity screening, blood pressure assessments, cholesterol and glucose testing, chiropractic and posture screenings, depression evaluations, and breast and cervical cancer early detection information, as well as a variety of alternative wellness and healing techniques, such as Reiki, massage therapy, yoga, feng shui, and foot flexology.
More than 25 community organizations plan to participate, including: Advanced Radiology Consultants, AIDS Project Hartford, Al-Anon/Alateen, the American Red Cross, Butterfly Integrative Healing Arts, Brain Injury Association of Connecticut, Carolynâs Place, the Greater New Haven Celiac Support Group, Heart and Sole, the Mental Health Association, Physiciansâ Health and Wellness, Poison Control, Saint Maryâs Hospital Family Health Center, and Waterbury Public Health.
