Bariatric Physician To Discuss Treatment Of Obesity
DANBURY â The âTreatment of Obesityâ will be discussed by guest speaker Theresa Piotrowski, MD, a certified bariatric physician and a practicing physician in Sandy Hook, at the next meeting of the Bariatric Support Group at Danbury Hospital. The program will take place on Wednesday, April 21, from 6 to 8 pm, in the John C. Creasy Center for Health Education auditorium.
The Bariatric Support Group meets at Danbury Hospital on the third Wednesday of every month to help answer any questions people may have who are considering gastric bypass surgery, and to provide continuous support and maintenance of weight loss following surgery. Gastric bypass surgery is considered a safe and effective surgical treatment for weight loss of severe obesity for people who meet the surgical criteria.
