Shirley Presti
Shirley Jean Presti passed away peacefully on March 12, surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born on June 9, 1944, in Richmond, Indiana, to the late Audrey (Sperling) and George Ganger.
Shirley loved to cook, dance, and enjoy vacations at the beach. She was a former dance instructor at the Fred Astaire School. She was a student of biochemistry and applied her knowledge and adaptability in many laboratory settings, including medical technologist, fuel cell researcher, and industrial hygienist. In her later years, she enjoyed working at the Home Depot as an appliance specialist. Shirley was also a student of compassionate communication and shared great love and life with all who loved her.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband, George Presti; her beloved daughter, Kathleen (Kat) Favoccia; her brother, Kenneth Ganger; and niece, Rhonda. Shirley was very close with her nieces Cindy, Shari, and Dolly, as well as dear friends, Doug Echols and Charlotte Cole and her children, Kent and Lee. Shirley is also survived by cousins Art and Val and numerous other cousins in the Newtown area, as well as around the state and country. Also, one grand-dogger, Belly, and one very old little cat, Kittay.
