The CMAK Foundation is looking to collect gently used or new bicycles to benefit Bikes for Kids Foundation, which supplies the bikes for the foundation’s free Race4Chase kids triathlon training program.

Any child who completes the program and does not own a bike gets to take home their training bike.

Area residents with children’s bicycles that are still usable are asked to consider donating the bikes. The Bicycle Donation Drive will be ongoing, April 1-30.

Bicycles can be dropped off at Newtown Police Department, 191 South Main Street; or Newtown Community Center, 8 Simpson Street.

Those who do not have bicycles to donate but would like to support Bikes For Kids are invited to make a donation to cover the cost of a bicycle or a bike helmet. To make a donation visit CMAKFoundation.org.
