She and her husband moved to Lattins Cove in Danbury, on Candlewood Lake. During this time they traveled to all states east of the Mississippi and Quebec Province.

Her husband of 59 years, John; her three sons, Jay, Gordon, and Todd; her daughter Elyse; her 17 grandchildren, Sydney, Stephan, Mary, Joseph, John-Paul, Rylan, Elizabeth, Marie, John, Isabella, Phillip, Emma, Molly, Jane, Olivia, Peter, and Andrew; and two great-grandchildren survive her.
