Olga Z. Horoschak

A Special Mother And Grandmother

Olga Z. Horoschak, 87, of Seymour, beloved wife of the late Walter A. Horoschak, died March 23, at Griffin Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born in Boston, October 30, 1924, she was the daughter of Gregory and Mary Smarsh Zacharchuk.  

Three devoted daughters, including Lynda Korotash, and her husband Mark Korotash, of Newtown; five cherished grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews survive Mrs Horoschak.  A sister, Elizabeth Z. Kleinschmidt predeceased her. 

Mrs Horoschak was an active member of Three Saints Orthodox Church in Ansonia as a choir member. She was the office manager for the Valley Surgical Group for 20 years, until her retirement in 1980. After moving to Seymour she became active in the Derby and Woodbridge Senior Centers.  She enjoyed knitting, cooking, and sharing special moments with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services took place March 27. Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
