Children’s Museum

Info Session Planned

EverWonder Children’s Museum, a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to open a children’s museum in Newtown, will host an informational session on Wednesday, April 4.

The public is invited to meet those who are already involved in the project, in the meeting room of C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street, at 7 pm. EverWonder members will share plans and let attendees know how they can help.

The group’s vision is for a space of 16,000 to 20,000 square feet that can be divided into areas to include exhibits on motion, sound and electricity, water play, and to allow space for an arts creativity center and workshops, as well as a “challenge corner,” where children will be pushed to “think outside the box, to not have the answers supplied to them,” Kristin Chiriatti, who is spearheading the project, told The Newtown Bee in February.

The name of the museum, everw?nder children’s museum, was reached through the assistance of a local parent who works in branding, she said, and one that the board agreed could possibly become a theme throughout the museum — ever wonder?
