Holly R. Shanley, 68, of St Augustine, Fla., formally of Bridgeport and Newtown, died peaceful at home surround by family on March 24, after a prolonged illness with progressive supranuclear palsy. She was the daughter of the late  Sally (Grimes) and John H. Reck. She was the loving wife of Francis "Tim" Shanley.

Ms Shanley graduated from Notre Dame Girls High School in Bridgeport in 1966. She pursued a career in mechanical and electrical drafting, having been contracted through several corporations in Connecticut. Her talent led her to a lucrative career in real estate spanning two decades.

Ms Shanley's interest included art, interior design, and travel.

Her husband of 46 years, Francis; her daughter, Jennifer Shanley; her three beautiful granddaughters, Madison Francis, Paige Kelly, and Jillian Grace Sandusky of Shrewsbury, Mass.; her siblings and their spouses, Bruce and Mary Lou Reck of Florida, Pamela Reck of Connecticut, and Robin and Gary Burns of Connecticut; her aunts; her uncle; and several nieces and nephews survive her. Along with her parents, her brother Jeffery Reck predeceased her.

Arrangements are being handled by Craig Funeral Home, 1475 Old Dixie Highway, St Augustine. Interment will be at the discretion of the family.

The Shanley family would like to thank Community Hospice of Northeast Florida and its staff, especially Danny Kieleszewski, for their exceptional care provided to Ms Shanley over the course of her illness.

The family would also like to thank St Johns County Council on Aging, especially Paulette Kozlowski, manager of the Sunshine Center, and all members of the staff.
