Occupation: I am an attorney, with an office in Danbury on Mill Plain Road. I practice a lot of different kinds of law — wills, probate, small business-related law, criminal defense — that sort of thing.

Family: I’ve been married to Julie for seven and a half years. We have a son, Gus, who is just 9 months old. My folks, Paul and Helen Krueger, live here in Newtown, too.

Pets: None, right now. We had a 16-year-old cat that disappeared after the baby was born. Now we’re just trying to get through the baby’s first year.

How long have you lived in Newtown? I grew up in Sandy Hook, and we moved to a house on Flat Swamp Road in 1987. Now, Julie and I own a house right next door to my parents.

What do you like to do in your free time? I’m a Jeep collector, and I do all my own mechanical work. Right now, I have eight Jeeps. They’re works in progress. My wife, baby, and Jeeps pretty much consume every waking moment when I’m not working.

What kind of music do you like to listen to? If I’m working in the garage, I’m listening to classic rock. That’s what’s on. My favorite band is probably Rush.

Do you have a favorite travel destination? My wife and I love to go to the Maine Coast. We try to go at least once a year, and it’s our “go to” destination. We love the Booth Bay Harbor area.

What is the best thing about Newtown? The sense of community. I’ve lived here my whole life, and I’m Newtown’s biggest fan. I love being part of this community.

What has been the greatest influence in your life? I got a Community and Theater Arts degree from WestConn, to learn to communicate with people. When I was through, I saw I could go on to law school and take communication to the next level. Getting the CTA degree exposed me to a lot and brought me to where I am today. And with the grounding I got in this town, I knew I wanted to stay here and help the people I’ve known all my life.

Do you have a personal philosophy? Always go the extra mile. Make sure you’ve done all that you can do, in any given situation.

Do you have a guilty pleasure? My wife and I really love splitting a bottle of Malbec, especially when it has been a long night before of teething for the baby.
