Wickedly Good Program Comes Our Way
The Friends of the C.H. Booth Library will sponsor an interactive storytelling of Shakespeareâs Macbeth, with Something Wicked This Way Comes, a Shakespeare on the Sound production, Sunday, April 6, at 2 pm, at the Newtown Meeting House.
Shakespeare on the Sound is a collaboration of civic, business, and educational organizations in lower Fairfield County committed to producing open-air productions of the plays of William Shakespeare and related authors. Summer performances are held in parks in Rowayton and Greenwich during the summer months.
Led by actor Daniel John Kelly, Something Wicked This Way Comes, will involve audience participation and focus on major scenes form Shakespeareâs famous tragedy. Mr Kelly has more than 15 years of experience in childrenâs theater and storytelling. He is a teaching artist for Shakespeare on the Sound. He has performed at the Yale Rep, Long Wharf Theatre, Westport Country Playhouse, La Miranda Theatre, Connecticut Repertory Theatre, and Square One Theatre. He regularly directs and performs with Interactive Education Theatre, an improvisational educational touring group. Two years ago, Mr Kelly was the assistant director and associate producer of the award winning short film, Glacier Bay.
