WALLINGFORD â The Connecticut Better Business Bureau is accepting nominations for its third annual BBB Student Ethics Award Scholarship Program. The award recognizes high school students who personify high ethical standards through leadership, community service, overall academic history, and personal integrity.
âBetter Business Bureau is all about bringing fair practice and ethics to the marketplace,â according to Connecticut BBB President Paulette Hotton. âThe Student Ethics Award program seeks to recognize young academics that embody the values represented by Better Business Bureau marketplace standards.â
Two students will be selected by an independent panel of judges to receive scholarships of $2,500 each to an accredited college or university of their choice. The scholarship must be used toward school-related expenses, including tuition, books, room and board, or other related items.
Applicants must be Connecticut residents and plan to attend an accredited institution in the United States. Only applications from high school students currently in their junior year are accepted.
Additional requirements and application forms are available online at ct.bbb.org/student.Â
The deadline for applications is Friday, June 20. The awards will be presented at the Better Business Bureau annual meeting and awards dinner in November. For more information contact BBB at 203-269-2700 extension 100.
