A Boomers Listen & Learn Lecture
Fairfield â St Vincentâs Medical Center of Bridgeport is sponsoring a free talk open to the general public on âGetting Your Parents Off the Road, How Old Is Too Old to Driveâ as part of its Listen & Learn Lecture Series for Club 50/Boomers group members. The talk will take place Tuesday, April 1, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm, at Cinzanoâs Restaurant, 1920 Black Rock Turnpike.
Featured speaker, geriatrician Rahul Gupta, MD, will discuss how adult children can evaluate their parentsâ ability to drive, and, when necessary, convince their parents to stop driving for the protection of themselves and other people.
Dr Gupta is an internist who specializes in geriatric medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and by the American Board of Geriatric Medicine.
After earning his medical degree at Kasturba Medical College in India, he completed residencies in emergency medicine and internal medicine at Lok Nayak Hospital in New Delhi, and at Jamaica Hospital in Jamaica, N.Y. He also completed a fellowship in internal medicine at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola, N.Y.
He conducts a private practice with Goldfarb, Ranno & Associates, LLC with offices in Fairfield, Monroe, and Shelton. A question and answer session will follow his presentation, and light refreshments will be provided.
