Stuffed Animal Drive

Newtown Middle School eighth grade students Zach Leighton and Chris Potter organized a lightly used Teddy Bear, Stuffed Animal, and Basket Drive to support Women Involved in Newtown’s Easter Basket project. The boys are looking to have stuffed animals or teddy bears dropped off in the B-wing lobby of the middle school on Queen Street through April 4.

WIN will make the stuffed animals and baskets into Easter Baskets for area families. Any extra baskets will be donated to social services in Newtown. Extra stuffed animals will be given to the AIDS interfaith Ministry in Danbury and Healing Hearts, a children’s bereavement group. Any Beanie Babies will be donated to the Newtown Ambulance Squad.
