Sets Health Expo 2003 Events
FAIRFIELD â Health Expo 2003, a free community Health Fair, is scheduled at the McGivney Community Center, 338 Stillman Street in Bridgeport, Saturday, March 29, 10 am to 4 pm. A follow-up Health Expo 2003 event will take place on Wednesday, April 2, noon to 4 pm in University Commons on the Sacred Heart University (SHU) main campus, 5151 Park Avenue in Fairfield. The comprehensive programs will include free blood pressure checks, free cholesterol and glucose screenings, plus free massages, and a prize raffle. All Health Expo 2003 programs are free.
In addition, students representing the SHU physical therapy, nursing, human movement and occupational therapy programs will present information on major public health concerns, including childhood asthma and obesity.
Local community representatives will also provide useful information on disaster preparedness, domestic violence prevention, kidney disease, and organ donation.
