MIDDLETOWN â The Department of Public Safety Division of Homeland Security is reminding all citizens of Connecticut to be observant as they go about their normal routines.
Anyone who may observe anything that causes them concern or if anything is observed that is suspicious should contact their local police authority immediately.
The Department Public Safety Office of Homeland Security has also established a hotline for Connecticut citizens to report any nonemergency concerns or suspicions. The Homeland Security Division Hotline is staffed in Connecticut 24 hours a day.
Connecticut state troopers and local police officers who are assigned to the Home Land Security Office will staff this telephone line. The public should call 866-HLS-TIPS (866-457-8477) with their concerns.
