New Milford police informed Newtown police about 2 am March 25 that they were holding Miriam Renda, 40, of New Milford, for whom Newtown police held an arrest warrant in connection with a past incident.
Newtown police went to New Milford and charged Renda with second-degree failure to appear in court and second-degree harassment. Newtown police held Renda on bond for an appearance later that day in Danbury Superior Court.
Several Charges
Police report they stopped motorist Carrie N. Medici, 25, of Waterbury for driving 50 miles per hour in a 30-mph zone on Wasserman Way about 3:20 pm March 25.
On investigating, police charged Medici with traveling too fast, driving with a suspended license, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they found less than three ounces of marijuana in the vehicle Medici was driving.
After posting a bond, police released Medici for an April 9 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Moving Violations
Police said they stopped motorist Judith Roller, 38, of Winsted on March 25, and after investigating, charged her with traveling too fast and driving while under suspension. Police released Roller for an April 7 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
