Photographers Preparing Annual Exhibition
Flagpole Photographers are expected to exhibit about 50 photos by club members at C.H. Booth Library the weekend of April 4-5. The annual exhibition of the club will be open for public viewing in the main meeting room beginning at noon on Saturday. It will remain on view until 5 pm (regular closing time) on Saturday, and then be on view again on Sunday during the same hours.
Judges for the competition will be Mike Thomas, a well known photography judge among many camera clubs in Connecticut, and Carl Hebert, an associate photographer with Brad Stanton Photography in Danbury. The categories are for Traditional, Digitally Enhanced, Black and White, Best in Show, the Dave Krieger Nature Award, The Jeannette Talarino Flower Award and The Bruce Allen Open Print award.
In addition the Peopleâs Choice Award will be chosen by the visitors to the exhibition. The winner of that honor will be announced late Sunday afternoon.
Members of the club will be allowed to submit up to six prints, three in black and white and three in color. The prints can be of any size up to 16 by 20 inches, and will be ready for hanging.
