Mr & Mrs Christopher Scott

Michelle Theresa Pratt and Christopher Edward Scott were married at Newtown Meeting House by Joseph Lazurek on Saturday, November 1, 2008. A reception followed at The Colonial Tavern in Oxford.

The bride is the daughter of Ronald and Mary Pratt of Woolwine, Va., and formerly of Newtown. She was given into marriage by her father. The groom is the son of Edward and Judy Scott of Cheshire.

The matron of honor was Erica Canfield of Sandy Hook. Bridesmaids were Samantha Canfield of Sandy Hook and Shannon and Amy Howard of Ansonia.

Edward Scott of Cheshire was the best man. Ushers were Ken Canfield of Sandy Hook and Barry and Dan Howard of Ansonia.

Megan Riley Howard of Ansonia was the flower girl, and Kenneth Canfield Jr of Sandy Hook was the ring bearer.

Michelle is a 1998 graduate of Newtown High School, and also a graduate of Central Connecticut State University. She is assistant director of campus recreation at the University of New Haven.

Christopher is a graduate of Cheshire High School, and also of the University of Connecticut. He is an internal auditor for Northeast Utilities.

The couple celebrated their wedding with a trip to the Grand Canyon and a Caribbean cruise to Cozumel. They have since returned to their home in Southington.
