*I swear I was the first person to wear legwarmers when I was in eighth grade at Rochambeau Middle School. They were dark blue, and were knitted, and oh so comfortable. I was teased when I wore mine (David McClintock very snidely said âNice socksâ when we were walking out of one of our classes), but the very next week another girl wore a pair and everyone thought she was a rock star. I donât get it.
If anyone still has their legwarmers from the 80s, grab âem and join me for an Ultimate 80s Happy Hour Pre-Show at The Palace Theater next week. The Waterbury theater will be hosting the event prior to the RICK SPRINGFIELD show at 8 on Saturday, April 4. Tickets for the show are $39 to $79 and can still be reserved by calling 203-755-4700.
The preshow party will run from 6 to 7 and will include catered Tex-Mex goodies and music by the decadeâs bigshots. Admission for that is $10. A cash bar will also be running. Me and my legwarmers will be too.
Until next week Iâll be seeing you... on the road.
