Lake Compounce Job Fair Scheduled
BRISTOL â Despite the downturn in the economy, Lake Compounce Theme Park in Bristol/Southington is looking to hire approximately 1,200 seasonal full-time and part-time employees for the 2009 summer and fall season.
âWe expect to see a higher number of applicants this year due to the large number of lay-offs being seen throughout the area,â says General Manager Jerry Brick. âThis means weâll have the luxury of being more selective than ever, and we will end up with a really terrific team.â
The annual job fair will be held on April 3, from 3 to 6 pm, and April 4 from 11 am to 3 pm in the Starlight Theater inside the park. All interested applicants are encouraged to download an employment application from www.lakecompounce.com, or they can obtain and complete one at the job fair. Applicants should bring valid driverâs license or ID, and need to have a social security number. Applicants under 18 must have working papers specific to Lake Compounce.
Departments hiring include ride operations, lifeguards, warehouse, food and beverage, catering, parking lot, games, retail, guest relations, admissions, public service, cash control, grounds, and maintenance.
