Christie Attanasio was named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2008 semester of the Academic Center for Exploratory Students at the University of Connecticut.

Bobby Attanasio was named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2008 semester in the College of Education and Human Developments at the University of Maine, in Orono.

Newtown High school alumnae recognized by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association include Katherine Datin of Sandy Hook at Franklin & Marshall College and Elizabeth Feltch at Vassar College.

Jaimee Rocca was named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2008 semester at Franciscan University of Steubenville, in Steubenville, Ohio.

Christina Wolf was named to the fall 2008 semester Dean’s List for Southern Connecticut State University’s School of Education. Christina is also team captain for the university’s softball team.

Zach Schwartz was named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2008 semester at Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass. Dean’s List honors are awarded to students who have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or more at the university.

Megan Eileen Ullo, a 2003 Newtown High School graduate, has graduated from American University’s College of Arts and Science’s School of Education, Teaching and Health with a master’s in elementary education.

Allyson Makuch received third place in the state level competition of Connecticut’s 4th Annual Poetry Out Loud State Finals on March 10 at the Carol Autorino Center in West Hartford. The competition was presented by the Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism and the State Department of Education, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation.
