April Activities Announced At EverWonder Museum
EverWonder Children's Museum is pleased to announce its calendar for April 2016. The museum has events for the entire family.Story Lab for Young Explorers meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 am. This 30-minute program of STEM themed stories, activities, and crafts takes place in the EverWonder classroom. Parents must stay with their children during the program. Story Lab is included with museum admission.first anniversary celebration on Saturday and Sunday, April 2-3. Visitors will receive half-off regular admission, can purchase museum memberships at a discounted price, and can enter to win a free T-shirt each day. Members will be entered to win a free birthday party.
Castle Hill Farms will also be visiting the museum on Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm.
Beginning Tuesday, April 5, and continuing to Sunday, May 5, visitors will be invited to check out the museum's
In Cloud Guy, young scientists will use clouds, rain drops, and lightning shapes to create a paper doll. The scientists will learn about cloud types and weather patterns while constructing their Cloud Guy.
In Tiny Windmills, young scientists will use paper cups, pins, and paper to construct miniature windmills. While constructing windmills, they will learn about wind power and engineering.

Future meteorologists can learn about the different types of clouds through the manipulation of cotton balls. Budding scientists will also learn about how identifying clouds can also help determine weather patterns. This program will be ongoing all day.
On Wednesday, April 13, also ongoing all day, the museum will host
For those who have ever wondered how clouds are made, or what makes a cloud a rain cloud, or even how rain is created, this program will help.
Children of all ages will learn all about rain while creating a rain cloud in a jar. Guests will simulate the water cycle and cloud creation while using shaving cream, water, and food coloring.
Then on Friday, April 22, celebrate spring and warmer weather with
Learn about how to tell the temperature on a thermometer, and then practice on the EverWonder thermometer.

EverWonder is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. Admission is $7 per person; children under the age of 12 months and museum members are free. Parking at the museum is also free.
Formed in January 2011 by a group of parents, EverWonder Children's Museum (incorporated as Newtown Children's Museum, Inc.) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring children and families in northern Fairfield County through the use of hands-on museum exhibits and demonstrations.
