Southbury Tennis Challenge
SOUTHBURY â The 4th Annual Southbury Tennis Challenge, sponsored jointly by the Southbury Parks and Recreation Department and Tennis Professional Val Stoiana, is coming back to town in time for warmer weather. The Challenge will be begin on April 26.
Division play is open to men, women, juniors and seniors. Profits will benefit the Southbury-Middlebury Youth and Family Services. During the eventâs 3 year history, Stoiana has donated more than $2,500 to Youth and Family Services, an organization that provides crisis prevention services to area families.
The seasonâs tennis challenge will provide all players with two weeks to complete each round. Divisions offered are: menâs and womenâs singles, doubles and mixed doubles, junior (17 and under) and senior (60 and over). Matches may be played on any local court. Finals will be played at Community Park in Southbury. The entry fee is $25 per doubles team, and $40 for singles. Prizes will be offered by local sponsors.
