Attorneys Hall & Savarese Announce Separation Of Practice

After a 20-year professional association, the two-attorney firm of Hall & Savarese, PC, with offices at 43 Main Street, Newtown, announces the formation of separate law practices by the individual attorneys effective March 24. Current and former clients with any questions are requested to contact either attorney Robert H. Hall at 203-426-8177 and/or attorney Stephen L. Savarese at 203-558-1780.

Both attorneys are experienced in municipal and land use law, including zoning, subdivision, variances and wetland issues, real estate transactions, estate planning and administration, and general litigation. Anyone wishing to be represented by either Mr Hall or Mr Savarese will be welcomed by the attorneys in their respective practices.

Stephen Savarese, the principal town attorney of the Town of Middlebury since his appointment in December 2007, plans to continue his general practice from a home office in Middlebury. A former assistant town attorney for the Town of Westport at the outset of his legal career, Mr Savarese expects to be concentrating his future practice in representing local municipal boards and commissions as well as individual and business clients.

Additionally, Mr Savarese is a candidate for ordination in June 2012 to become permanent deacon of the Archdiocese of Hartford from his home parish of St John of the Cross in Middlebury.

He is a graduate of Holy Cross High School in Waterbury, the University of Notre Dame and Washington College of Law at the American University in Washington, D.C.

Robert Hall will continue the general practice of law at 43 Main Street (The Newtown General Store building) where he has practiced since January 1977. Prior to that he was a partner with the law firm of Carmody and Torrance in Waterbury.

Mr Hall has represented clients in all state and federal trial and appellate courts in Connecticut, as well as appearing before many area zoning, planning, and wetlands boards and commissions. Mr Hall is a lifelong resident of Newtown and member of Newtown Congregational Church. He is also a longtime member of Newtown Rotary Club and active in local and state Republican politics where he is a member of the State Central Committee.

Mr Hall is also a member of the Connecticut and American Bar Associations, Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, and a graduate of Yale University and Harvard Law School.
