Arlene O’Brien
Arlene Coffin O’Brien, age 82, of Newtown, beloved wife of the late Robert W. O’Brien, passed away on Saturday, March 23, at Danbury Hospital.
Arlene was born in Stratford on November 6, 1941, daughter of the late Harland H. and Helene Leopold Coffin. During her career as a Registered Nurse, Arlene worked in the Emergency Room at Park City Hospital, for the State of CT Department of Mental Retardation, and as a State Nursing Surveyor.
She enjoyed family trips to Sebago Lake in Maine, and camping. Arlene was dedicated to her Catholic faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer O’Brien and her fiancé Allan Lewis of Seymour; five granddaughters, Kieren Levy, Meghan Levy, Emily Dion, Brianna Levy and Samantha Dion; two great grandchildren, Sophia and Ruby; a brother, Geoffrey Coffin and his wife Valerie of Trumbull; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Robert, she was predeceased by her daughter Kimberly O’Brien Levy and brother Lee Coffin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 27, at noon, in St Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road in Newtown. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
