BROOKFIELD âThe 2011 Brookfield Film Festival has announced the line-up of films to be shown at its shorts-themed program, âShorts and to the Point,â on Saturday, March 26.
Screenings will be at 1, 4 and 8 pm, at Brookfield Theatre for the Arts, 182 Whisconier Road (Route 25, behind the library).
The program will consist of a carefully selected arrangement of the most-notable short films of the year, including both live-action and animated short productions from around the world. All of the films have been nominated for or received awards at other leading film festival and competitions including the Academy Awards®. One of the films, Third & Fourth, is an award-winning short from Australia that will be shown in the US for the first time at the Brookfield Film Festival.
The lineup of films includes God of Love, The Lost Thing, Third & Fourth, Letâs Pollute, The Crush, Six Dollar Fifty Man, Push Bike, Watching, Madagascar: A Journey Diary and Mr Okra.
Specific film selections in the program may be subject to change.
The program is not rated and is intended for mature audiences (under age 17 must be accompanied by an adult). Admission is $10 and festival attendees can enjoy a wine bar, door prizes and live music.
